the Desk of Brian Sickora...
I am pleased to introduce the newest
staff members of WSKG. They all have a proven track record of
professional accomplishments and strong community service. I
am thrilled
to have the opportunity to add such talented, experienced and
community
minded
individuals
to our team.
Erik
H. Jensen, Director
of Community Engagement
Erik will oversee WSKG’s
Community Engagement Initiative which is a program designed
to encourage civic engagement through the use of public service
media. Additionally, Mr. Jensen will oversee the Educational
Services Department and community partnership programs and
services.
Mr. Jensen is a native of Broome County, attended
Binghamton City Schools and is a graduate of Broome Community
College. In 1987, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree
from Cornell University. Prior to joining WSKG, Mr. Jensen
was with the United Way of Broome County, Inc. for 18 years,
where
he most recently served, as the Director of Allocations & Planning.
Jennifer
Matoney, Television Producer and Director
Jennifer comes to
WSKG from South Dakota Public Broadcasting where she worked
as an Associate
Producer. As a television producer and director,
Ms. Matoney will focus
solely on producing local programming, beginning with a
weekly arts series, Expressions. The series
will focus on the
art and artists of the Southern Tier.
A Rhode Island native, Ms. Matoney earned a Bachelors degree
in Marketing from the University of Rhode Island and a Masters
degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Colorado.
Rebecca
Vytlacil, Executive Assistant to the President and
Finance Department
As Assistant to the President and Finance Department,
Rebecca will coordinate
WSKG Board of Trustee meetings and activities, and provide administrative
assistance to the Finance Department.
A native of Broome County, Ms. Vytlacil has a Bachelors degree
in English Literature from Alfred University. Prior to joining
WSKG, she was with The Susquehanna School where she began as
a teacher before becoming the Office Manager and then the Acting
Director
Jennifer
Zarrelli Community Events Coordinator
Jennifer returns to WSKG as the Community Events Coordinator.
Mrs. Zarrelli will organize all community special events for
WSKG including all donor recognition events and the annual auction.
She will also coordinate and oversee WSKG’s volunteer program.
Previously, she served as the Director of Development at the
American Red Cross, Southern Tier Chapter from 2005-2007 and
as the Campaign Gifts Coordinator for WSKG from 2001-2005.
A lifelong resident of Broome County, Mrs. Zarrelli obtained
a Bachelors degree in Mass Communication and Broadcasting from
SUNY Oswego.
