Originally aired Dec. 7, 1 & 7pm on WSKG Radio

Wil Wheaton is an author, actor (Stand by Me, Star Trek: The Next Generation) and popular blogger who lives in Southern California. His first book was Dancing Barefoot: five short-but-true tales of life in the Space Age. In his second book, Just a Geek (O’Reilly Media, Inc.), Wheaton touches on the frustrations associated with his acting career, his inability to distance himself from Ensign Crusher in the public's eyes, the launch of his incredibly successful web site and the joy he's found in writing.

"This is a book, as you'll discover, about honesty, about the erasure of an image," Neil Gaiman writes in the foreword to Just a Geek. "In an era of people blogging as pseudo-celebrities, this is the story of a celebrity blogging as a person. In Just a Geek, Wil uses his online journal as a place to begin to tell his story — diaries as performance art. This is his account of himself and of growing up (at least partly) in public."

The stories in Just A Geek are deeply personal, but relate to all of us. These are the stories that you share with your friends over a pint at the pub, the stories that warm your heart and make you
laugh.

Wil Wheaton will join Crystal Sarakas on OFF THE PAGE to talk about his life as a writer, the experiences he’s had with Just a Geek, his
blog, and yes, his experiences with Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation.
